M. Kenton King, MD Dr. King received his B.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma and his M.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He served his internship and residency at Barnes Hospital and Vanderbilt University Hospital and spent two years as a research fellow in microbiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He joined the Washington University faculty in 1957. Dr. King’s research interest was in the mechanisms of the pathogenesis of fever. Dr. King was made Dean of Washington University School of Medicine in 1964 and was Dean until his retirement in 1989.
