Dr. Merz joined the Infectious Diseases Division in July of 2007. She received her Ph.D. in Public Health Studies from Saint Louis University, and obtained a master's degree in public health from Saint Louis University with concentrations in epidemiology and environmental and occupational health.

Research Interests

My research focuses on the epidemiology, cost and prevention of healthcare-associated infections and antibiotic-resistant organisms.
