Research Interests

My primary research interests are in the area of HIV-related metabolic complications. I have ongoing research in complications related to antiretroviral therapies including lipodystrophy, insulin resistance, and bone metabolic complications. I am also involved in other HIV-related studies at the Washington University Aids Clinical Trials Unit including a study of the natural history of HIV disease with antiretroviral therapy and other metabolic studies. Non-HIV interests include the epidemiology and treatment of resistant pathogens such as VRE and resistant Candida.
